Line Producer

About The Role

Bleacher Report has been a trusted source of sports information, entertainment, and culture for many years. Our Playmaker team creates experiences that reflect and celebrate the sports fan’s experience. We are seeking a Line Producer to manage and shape our stories through their expert knowledge of physical production.  You will be expected to produce and manage large and small in-house and/or 3rd party productions. 

This position requires an expert knowledge of the entire production process. You must be able to manage simultaneous projects, and your approach to the process must be detail-oriented. This position requires the highest level of professionalism, with the ability to work closely with Bleacher Report staff through professional communication and etiquette. You will also be responsible for driving high standards for the content B/R creates—assisting on multiple projects delivering both short-form and long-form content, as well as any other new formats we engage with in the future.

Job Responsibilities

  • Creates, implements and drives highly effective production plans for physical production while collaborating and working with producers, directors, strategists, and executives

  • Generate individual production budget estimates and manage working budgets and actuals

  • Provides input in all phases of content production to ensure that the creative vision can be delivered at the highest production value while meeting budget expectations

  • Hires, negotiates and clearly defines rates and working conditions for crews

  • Actualizing and tracking production budgets across the production department

  • Expert negotiator with obtaining favorable deals and discounts with vendors

  • Ability to field produce when required

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5-7 years experience in video production

  • Exceptional organization and management skills

  • Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and production managing video productions

  • Expert in Movie Magic Budgeting Software (or similar budgeting software)

  • Ability to to solve production issues, limitations, and pushing production and creative capabilities

  • Sports experience a plus

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

About The Role:

We are looking for a Post Production Coordinator to join our Branded Content department. The Branded Content Team creates relevant and exciting stories for the Bleacher/Report audience, in partnership with brands.

The Post Production Coordinator is responsible for, but not limited to, creating and maintaining post schedules, creative talent bookings, organizing post budgets, and creating graphics requests.
The Post Production Coordinator will also assist the Supervising Post Producer in identifying new workflows and elevating capabilities of the Branded Content Team.

Post Coordinator Role (including, not limited to):
- Creating Post Schedules
- Creating and assisting project workflows
- Filling out requests for motion graphics and other resources from internal departments
- Booking and wrapping out Post Production staff and expenses on projects
- Some media management and data organization
- Aggregating visual references and sourcing resources
- Exporting new footage for selects and stringouts
- Preparing additional exports of content
- Overseeing revisions from supervisors and clients with editors
- Screening client-facing work before delivery
- Problem-solving and providing feedback on content and workflows

Requirements:

AV Technician

About the Role 

The AV Technician position is an integral role that will support our NY based Video Tech Ops team in New York City accomplish audio/visual daily tasks for studio and events based production. This is a full time, benefits eligible position. 

Responsibilities 

  • Maintains all internal production workflows. Responsible for understanding wiring and functionality of all studio equipment including video hubs, converters, switchers, graphics machines, playout machines, and audio IFB/ PL wireless workflows. 

  • Works closely with on-site content creation production group to develop efficient AV/Engineering workflow processes for studio production. 

  • Troubleshoots wiring of studio cameras, set monitors, audio, lighting and ethernet connections on set or in production spaces. 

  • Is technology point person for all in-house events. Works with marketing team to determine technology needs for conferences, live activations, and speaker series. 

  • Works with technology vendors to service AV Needs of NY office space/studio. 

  • Works with Manager of Production services to help manage AV Technology studio budget for in-house production. 

Qualifications 

  • 2-4 years of AV Technology experience working in both a studio and live events production. Experience working in a control room production setting is essential

  • Advanced level of operational skills and abilities in the use of video production equipment and technology. Knowledge of camera wiring is essential

  • Experience working with microphones, IFB communication and audio mixing consoles.

  • Demonstrates ability to perform tasks under tight deadlines, work independently, and manage simultaneous projects. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Experience designing AV wiring workflows for production facilities. Knowledge of video/audio cabling fabrication a plus.

Assistant Media Technician - Temp

The Job

Bleacher Report is seeking an Assistant Media Technician to work on the Video Technical Operations team in the NYC office. This is a temporary position that will run from 8/15/19-6/30/20.

Responsibilities: 

  • Sets up and monitors the ingest and encoding processes for all NCAA game highlights

  • Liaisons with highlight editors and encoding platform partner WSC, providing direct support for any technical issues or questions that arise during game operations.

  • Execute on daily studio and field shoot ingest process. Assists in organization and media management across multiple NAS/SAN storage volumes

  • Sets up and monitors live streams utilizing Wirecast software. Coordinates with programming and producing teams on sending videos to proper stream destinations with correct metadata

  • Assists with footage requests and tracking video rights usage for all NCAA conferences 

  • Assists in MAM management, metadata tagging and archiving to both cloud and tape

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications/video production

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a media production environment. Live production experience is a plus

  • Nights and weekend flexibility required

  • Experience editing with Adobe Premiere is preferred

  • Solid computer and technical background, preferably with macOS

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Quick learner of new technologies, able to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced work environment

The Job

The Realtime Highlights Editor will assist with the high volume of NCAA, UEFA and NBA highlights editing quick highlights, reels and recaps and report to the Video Technical Operations team. This is a temporary position that will run from 8/15/19-6/30/20.

Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill real time highlight requests from our Social and App teams quickly and efficiently by utilizing a video clipping service, WSC, as well as editing from raw game melt footage for UEFA, College Football and NBA

  • Edit different versions of source video with each version being optimized for specific social platform destinations

  • Distribute clips to appropriate publishing channels and into a CMS to be featured on the Bleacher Report website

  • Ability to work nights and weekends a must

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

  • 2-3 years experience editing in a professional environment

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Adobe Creative Suite

Social Video Producer - Temp

The BR Betting team is looking for an experienced, dedicated Las Vegas-based Producer to shoot and create videos for our social channels. We work in a fast-paced, 24-7 field in a laid-back environment. You'll be in a role that allows you to work with multiple groups and networks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Pitch, plan, shoot and produce multiple videos each week for B/R’s social platforms

  • Capture the excitement of the sportsbook floor and package/produce it for social channels

  • Must have experience working with sports brand social media accounts

  • Assist social team in requesting graphics, acquiring video assets and assembling projects

  • Display a knowledge across sports and sports betting

  • Expert in using social platforms native tools (Instagram Stories, Twitter and Facebook).

  • Be able to tell an effective, coherent video story through video in B/R’s social voice

  • Show an eagerness to learn, a hunger to work hard, and an ability to get things done

  • Plan future events and story coverage in conjunction with content and programming teams

  • Complete all post-production needs

Requirements:

  • 1+ years experience in video production, social video or related field

  • Proven field producer with experience working with talent and interview subjects

  • Strong camera, writing and producing skills

  • Expert knowledge of multiple sports and sports betting and various social media platforms

  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to work with production and editing staff at all levels

  • Ability to communicate ideas effectively and efficiently

  • Knowledge of digital post-production process using Adobe and Apple software

  • Final Cut or Adobe Premiere editing knowledge and understanding preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays.

This is a temporary assignment to cover the NFL Football season.  The assignment will run from approximately August 2019 to March 2020.
